Samsung is gearing up for the wider rollout of One UI 8, its latest software iteration built on Android 16. While the South Korean tech giant has already equipped its newest foldable smartphones with this version, the update has yet to be released broadly for other devices. However, emerging reports suggest that the wait won’t be long for many users.
One UI 8 testing has begun for the Galaxy M15
Most recently, Samsung has initiated internal testing of One UI 8 on the budget-friendly Galaxy M15. The trials are currently underway in key regions including India, Europe, Brazil, and Mexico. The firmware builds associated with this testing are identified as M156BXXU6CYG1 for Asia and Europe, and M156BXXU6CYG3 for Brazil and Mexico.
Though an official public release date for One UI 8 remains unannounced, the fact that flagship foldables such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE launched with this software pre-installed back in early July points toward an imminent wider distribution.
